I am asking everyone in the community to step up, and make the Ken Norton Birthday Bash 2010, the biggest fundraising event in Jacksonville history.
Pathway Services needs our help!!
(The state of Illinois owes Pathway Services in excess of 1.9 million dollars)
This years event is even more important because the state’s 2009-2010 budget year got off to a dubious start when Gov. Pat Quinn vetoed what he call an inadequate plan to fund human-services programs and vetoed a renewed push for an income tax increase.
The Governor’s move jeopardizes current and future payments to social-service providers who care for the poor, developmentally disabled, children and seniors. The whole nut in the shell is that our Governor was/is trying to cut theses human service programs last year, and it is still affecting these programs yet this year in a big way-
Pathway Service, like most human-service programs, without any type of payment from the state, will have to resort to either closing, or taking drastic measures to ensure that these services are still able to function. Pathway Services provides various services and opportunities to families and individuals with disabilities, Children's Programs, Adult Services, Regional Dental Services, Vocational Services, Home-Based Support Services (HBS) and Community Living Services.
This is a Ken Norton Enterprises Event to benefit Pathway Services! This is not a Pathway Services Event!!
Ken Norton Enterprises employees will not be paid for this event!!
All Celebrity Guests are guests of Ken Norton Enterprises and are appearing free of charge!

Ken Norton had three remarkable fights with Muhammad Ali. The First was March 31, 1973. Ken won the NABF title. Ken has appeared in 21 films, the latest being "FACING ALI".
